The Branch Supervisor is responsible for the administration and efficient daily operation of a full-service branch office. This includes operations, product sales, member service and security and safety. The Branch Supervisor is responsible for the attainment of Branch objectives set out in the yearly budget in conjunction with the Branch Manager
Duties:
• Ensure the Credit Union’s policies and procedures are followed according to established guidelines and make recommendations for improvement
• Provides direction, supervision and guidance to branch staff. Monitors attendance, performance and morale.
• Maintain daily cash reconciliation and verification of deposit values to the bank with a cashier log report
• Network to develop business relations, promote the sale of loans, investment and other services offered and attract corporate and individual members
• Administer employee development, training and education programs
• Develop and recommend marketing strategies to boost the Branch Investment and Loans portfolio
• Reports issues to the ICT Department to ensure smooth Branch Operations.
• Liaises with Contractors and Suppliers for the Branch.
• Opening & Closing the Branch Office daily by established hours.
• Responsible for expanding and retaining member relationships and promoting a service-driven sales culture.
• Review and sign all new membership applications
• Review and sign letters and correspondence on behalf of the Credit Union
• Cheque signing within approved limits
• Perform duties in the absence of the Branch Manager for specified periods as directed
• Training, development, mentoring and coaching of staff.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure the growth of the business at the branch
• Reports the business status to Management
• Determines and develops the annual budget for the daily expenses of the branch
• Supervise the collection of delinquent accounts for the branch
• Review and monitor loan applications and credit investigations and ensure that applications are processed in line with policy and procedures.
• Approve loans in accordance with the delegated limit of authority.
• Respond to members' enquiries and solve member issues
• Ensure compliance with the ‘Code of Conduct’ by all employees.
• Ensure smooth operation of computer systems and equipment and arrange for maintenance and repair work
• Maintain corporate image and culture
• Ensure that the Branch provides quality member service
• Maintain internal teamwork.
• Assists with tracking individual progress and conducting performance appraisals for direct reports.
Health & Safety:
• Report any hazards which are identified to the relevant person/persons.
• Ensure the application of and adherence to established HSE measures and procedures to ensure the well-being of all Employees and Members.
